Grass Sunset

Triple treat this time! This image is based on a photograph I made during a particularly beautiful sunset observed from the cliffs above Newquay in Cornwall, England.

This image has so much lovely stuff in it, that I thought I would give in to a temptation I always try and avoid with this style of image - that is, to extract some detail to create another image - which, in this case, is totally capable of standing up on its own:

And now, another break from my usual practice: I'm going to display the source photograph from which these images were made, because I believe it is very attractive in its own right. The K-scopes book of course has a complete reference section in the back, which shows thumbnails of all the original photographs from which the K-scopes images were made, together with a description of the original artefact. Beautiful!! This is one where I was able to imagine what the original photo was prior to seeing it , and came pretty close!
